Royal Family ‘can’t trust’ Harry Xmas reunion as could be used for book claims commentator | Royal | News

Prince Harry biographer and royal commentator Angela Levin claims any chance of a Christmas reunion between Harry and the rest of his family may have been tarnished as some relatives may fear they could be used for his memoirs. The Duke of Sussex, who will be publishing his memoirs at the end of 2022, is believed to publish details about his time in the Royal Family and army in his upcoming book. A royal source told the Mirror that a “tsunami of fear” has washed over the Royal Family because of the book with Ms Levin claiming Prince Harry’s reunion with the royals would “cause a lot of people grief”.

It is estimated the Duke of Sussex received a $20million advance on the memoirs with royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti claiming the publishers will want “dirt” on the Royal Family to make up the investment.

Vanity Fair Royal Editor Katie Nicholl claims there are plans underway for Prince Harry to visit the Royal Family for Christmas and will bring Meghan Markle and their children along too.

She told Closer magazine: “When Harry and Meghan left, they made it clear they didn’t want to give up their home in Britain. They still have Frogmore Cottage and their plan was to come back to the UK.

“Christmas is being looked at as an opportunity. There may be a softening, which could pave the way for healing of the family rift.

“It’s certainly what the Queen wants. Prince Charles would like to see his grandchildren. A meet-up suggests they hope to move on and sort things out.”

Ms Levin appeared on the Royal Beat and feared the reunion may be taken badly by some members of the Royal Family who could be fearful of Prince Harry’s memoirs.

She told the show: “I think it would cause a lot of people a lot of grief.

“The Queen would be delighted because she adores Harry – and also you love a child even though you disagree with everything they are doing – but I think for the other Royals, it is quite a stiff time where everybody has a very explicit diary of changing five times a day and what they have to do at what time.

“But they say will come out towards the end of next year which will be after the main jubilee celebrations.

“If they come over for the jubilee next year which I’m sure they will and be part of it somehow it’s going to be quite weird with the Royal Family just sort of thinking what is coming in a couple of months?

“What bombs might drop?”

In a statement on the book, the 36-year-old Prince said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think”
