New York Post Twitter Lock Reaches Seventeenth Day

Halloween, fittingly, is tomorrow, and what could be scarier than the continued censorship of the free press?

For the seventeenth day in a row, the New York Post’s Twitter account still appears to be locked, even with the presidential election a mere four days away.

Twitter first locked the account on October 14, after the Post published an article that claimed to expose alleged corrupt dealings of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden in Ukraine. The platform initially blocked the link completely, but later reversed course.

Following the controversy, Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s legal, policy and trust safety lead, announced two changes to Twitter’s “hacked materials” policy, tweeting: “1. We will no longer remove hacked content unless it is directly shared by hackers or those acting in concert with them. 2. We will label Tweets to provide context instead of blocking links from being shared on Twitter.”

Despite this decision, the Post’s account appears to remain locked, as Big Tech’s grasp on our democracy grows ever stronger.

Conservatives are under attack. Contact Twitter at (415) 222-9670 and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored, contact us at the Media Research Center contact form, and help us hold Big Tech accountable.
