Shameless Sycophants: 'View' Comforts Jill Over 'Disrespectful' 'Personal Attacks' Against Hunter

While the media has protected presidential candidate Joe Biden from having to answer questions about the Hunter Biden scandal, The View took the shameless pandering even further when Jill Biden appeared on the show Wednesday. While giving her the usual gooey, softball interview she has come to expect from the liberal hosts, Mrs. Biden was even teed up to dismiss the biggest scandal her husband is facing right now as a baseless “smear.”

Just like reporters asking Joe what ice cream flavor he was eating last week, Mrs. Biden had to field the tough questions right from the start, such as Whoopi Goldberg asking, “How tired are you? You must be exhausted!”

She was then allowed a series of anti-Trump questions from Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin.

Just like when she denied the “unfair” criticism against Black Lives Matter on yesterday’s show, Sunny Hostin teed up Biden to dismiss the Hunter Biden story as a “disrespectful” “personal attack” against the Biden family:

“Dr. Biden, your husband showed remarkable restraint that night when Trump repeatedly attacked your son and disrespected your family,” The View host gushed. Condemning the “lock him up” chants at Trump rallies she asked Biden sympathetically, “How do you feel about these constant personal attacks, and how do you respond to them?”

The former second lady outright denied the Hunter Biden story was even real by dismissing it as a “smear” from the Trump campaign. She insisted over and over again that the American people “didn’t want to hear” about this scandal. That’s not exactly what voters told CBS News this morning.

Sunny Hostin also invited Biden to condemn the president and lockdown protesters for “politicizing” the virus. Hostin conveniently left out the months long left-wing protests and riots Joe Biden took months to condemn from her COVID complaints.

Meanwhile, Joy Behar allowed Mrs. Biden to completely abdicate her husband’s responsibility in the former administration for separating families at the border. The View host pretended this started under Trump while the former Second Lady claimed it would stop with Biden as president:

JOY BEHAR: …[I] can’t believe this. A lot of their parents have already been deported. Uh to me I think this is a criminal human rights violation. This is a human rights violation. Um, how should the Trump administration be held accountable, and what would Joe do? You don’t mind if I call him Joe, do you? What would Joe do to alleviate the situation?

JILL BIDEN:  Well, first of all, we wouldn’t even be here if Joe were president. So there would be no separation of families at the border…

Sara Haines and Ana Navarro ended the interview with some fawning questions:

HAINES: …[W]hat’s it been like getting to know her [Kamala] better, and what have you been surprised to learn about her?

NAVARRO:  Tell us about Doug because you had such a great relationship with Michelle Obama. Every time we saw you, you guys were having fun. You worked well together.  What’s that like to, you know, if you guys win, he’s going to be the first male second dude, second gentleman, second spouse. What are we calling him, Jill? What are we calling him?

SUNNY HOSTIN: Dr. Biden, your husband showed remarkable restraint that night when Trump repeatedly attacked your son and disrespected your family, and I’ve spent a little bit of time with you, and I know how important your family is to you and I know how protective you are over them. Now he continued those attacks at rallies, encouraging the crowd to lock Joe up, and on Monday, he claimed that there’s some sort of story on the way about a scandal involving your family that will, quote, make him almost an impotent candidate. How do you feel about these constant personal attacks, and how do you respond to them?

JILL BIDEN: You know, as a mother, I mean, it really — I don’t like to see my son attacked and certainly I don’t like to see my husband attacked, but for me or to me these are distractions. I mean, this election is not about Joe Biden or Jill Biden or Kamala or Doug. It is about the American people. The American people don’t want to hear these smears against my family. The American people are struggling right now. I mean, they’re in the midst of all this chaos. They’re trying to figure out how to put food on the table, you know, they don’t have jobs. They need health care. Americans don’t want to hear this, and that’s why I thought Joe did such a great job at the debate because he addressed the issues. He talked directly to the American people and said, this is what I will do as your president, and Donald Trump just ranted and I don’t even know what he was doing up there. So this time the debate commission has said that they will mute the mics and they’ll each get their two minutes to speak, and so the American people will clearly see their choice.
