Deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said: “Vice President Biden looks forward to speaking directly to the American people and comparing his plan for bringing the country together and building back better with Donald Trump’s failed leadership on the coronavirus that has thrown the strong economy he inherited into the worst downturn since the Great Depression. “
The Democratic candidate said earlier this week he did not think the debate should go on if Mr Trump still had COVID-19.
The US President has said he will be tested for coronavirus again very soon.
He told Maria Bartiromo on Thursday morning: “I don’t think I’m contagious.”
Mr Trump’s doctor, Sean Conley, said the President has had no COVID-19 symptoms for more than 24 hours and has been fever-free for more than four days.
