During an interview with BBC Breakfast, Eric Ham suggested that the US President’s positive coronavirus result throws so much into chaos just 33 days before the Presidential election is due to be held. He added that there are so many questions regarding what will happen with Donald Trump in the short-term future.
Mr Ham said: “We have learned that the President and the First Lady have contracted coronavirus.
“We do not know at this time if the President or First Lady are experiencing symptoms.
“We have been told that they will continue to work form the residences where they will be quarantined for the next few weeks.
“This throws so much into chaos not only an election that is just 33 days away but also, we know that the Vice-President Pence is scheduled to debate Harris this week.

“There are so many questions about what will happen and what this means for the President as the commander and chief.”
The President and his wife Melania Trump are now in quarantine following their positive COVID-19 tests.
President Trump tweeted: “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately.
“We will get through this TOGETHER!”
Following the positive test, Mr Trump’s physician Sean Conley released a statement, saying the President and his wife “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence”.
The statement continued: “Rest assured I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments.”
The UK’s Prime Minister also tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year.
Mr Johnson spent time in an intensive care unit before recovering from the deadly virus.
